TOP 10 REASONS TO SAY "I DO" IN MEXICO!

1) Professional Wedding Planners!
Destination Weddings are huge! Most hotels in Mexico (including All-Inclusives) have dedicated Professional Wedding Planners on staff seven days a week to handle all requests and to help the bridal couple create the wedding of their dreams.  Many even offer a free wedding with a minimum of rooms & nights booked.  These usually include an officiant, wedding cake, botttle of champagne and private dinner for bride and groom. Larger more elaborate ceremonies and receptions are available depending the bridal couple's budget.

2) Spectacular Beach Settings!
Mexico's coasts are spectacular with each having it's own unique flavor.  There are about 450 beaches and marine landscapes in Mexico which can be perfect scenes for outdoor weddings, whether you are barefoot in the sand or in an oceanfront gazebo or natural alter.
Almost all of the beaches have facilities to organize them and staff that can help you while respecting your personal wishes.  There are also a variety of smaller hotels beyond the beach that provide beautiful settings for weddings as well.

3) Scenery isn't just for the movies!
The choices are nearly endless with scenery along the Pacific including coastal towns of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo with a blend of old and new! Romance is easy to find in any of the coastal towns and cities. Puerto Vallarta is ideal for honeymoons with its fine art scene which has attracted numerous artists and designers.  In Riviera Nayarit there are 180 miles of beach, lakes and rivers that include fishing villages and mall towns. Whether it's a B & B you are searching out to a luxury villa, you can find it all in Mexico.

4) World Class Services!
Service awaits you in Mexico from special candlelit turndown service with champagne or wine to private beach side dinners, not to mention the spas and food! Mexico is a large country which offers jungles & ruins, luxury hotels and all inclusives,  striking blue Caribbean beaches in Quintana Roo to the gorgeous rock formations on the Pacific Coast and of course, the desert.

5) The Mexican Caribbean!
Destinations like Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya are some of the most amazing destination wedding sites and honeymoons!  The soft white sand beaches and turquoise blue water will take your breath away.  If you are seeking barefoot luxury, diving & water sports, Cozumel will do it for you.  Cancun is Mexico's premier beach tourist destination and offers ancient pyramids to modern amenities.  The Riviera Maya is one of the most popular vacation destinations in Mexico. You will be able to find small barefoot hotels, bed & breakfasts, all inclusives and elegant boutique hotels. The luxury of an all inclusive is so astounding you may not ever want to venture off the property.  Playa Del Carmen may beckon you with fabulous shopping and terrific nightlife!

6) Mexico's Culture
Imagine being immersed in the culture of Mexico with a traditional Mayan wedding. Mayan weddings typically are performed on a beach or perhaps an archhaeological site in Yucatan.  The couple dresses in white and the ceremony is enveloped with copal incense smoke, flowers, veils and torches.  The Shaman evokes the four elements to confirm the
ceremony.

7) Los Cabos
The recent hurricane declared much damage to the Los Cabos area and hotels & businesses have been rebuilding very quickly. This is one of the few areas where the desert meets the sea. Los Cabos is located at the tip of the Baja California peninsula where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. The rugged rock formations and cliffs and dark blue water is a photographers delight. This destination has a quiet side as well as a night life for a good time out! Add golf, deep sea fishing, art and fantastic food and you have it all!

8) Warmth & Hospitality
Service is always with a smile and the Mexicans know how to go above and beyond. They make you feel welcome here with genuine smiles and care. Their service comes from the heart as they greet you often with their hand over their hearts to show it is with pride.
They make you feel at home with the warm, friendly reception.

9) Ease of Travel
Mexico is easily accessible from the United States as more and more airlines are booking direct flights daily from major cities. The most popular destinations in Mexico all have international airports from which they can receive flights from the U.S. such as Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun.

10) Colorful Cities Inland
There are more than just beach options for a wedding in Mexico, as many inland cities have been designated as World Heritage Cities. These cities are immersed in historic architecture, cuisine, cultural history, and beautiful hotels.

Top 15 reasons to travel like James Bond 007

Travel to where one man has been before: 007 James Bond

     1) You can cruise by sea or travel by land to destinations where James Bond films have been made! How about traveling to Jamaica? Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond books bought a villa in Oracabessa and named it Goldeneye and wrote his novels there!

Today, the villa is rented out as the Goldeneye resort. You can visit the resort and the nearby “James Bond Beach”.

     2) Do you remember the scene in “Dr. No”, where Ursula Andress comes out of the ocean at Crab Key Beach? This scene was actually shot at Laughing Waters Beach near Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica.   Although it wasn’t done by Bond, if you are traveling with kids, I recommend the excursion “Bobsled Jamaica and Dunn’s River Falls” tour that some of the cruise lines offer.

    3) In the movie “The Man with the Golden Gun”, Roger Moore is chasing (or being chased) the bad guys in Hong Kong and visits the Peninsula Hotel. Several cruise lines and land tour companies travel to Hong Kong where you can enjoy it “Bond style”.

     4) While Bond isn’t the only out having fun, did you know that Dame Judi Dench who played “M”, Bond’s MI-6 boss christened the Carnival Cruise Lines ‘Legend’ ship?

     6) “Shaken, not stirred”, we all know that phrase by Bond in many if not all of his films, if you are a martini fan try the cool Martini Bar on Celebrity Cruises or Shakers Martini & Cocktails Bar on Norwegian Cruise Line’sPearl.  And, not to be left out Princess Cruises has on the Royal Princess the Crooners Bar that offers “The Bond Collection” martini menu with such drinks called the “Quantum of Solace”.

    7)  “James Bond Island” was the scene in the “Man with the Golden Gun” when Bond lands his float plane on this beautiful Chinese Island. However, its actually a small island in Phang-Nga Bay, Thailand! A few of the cruise lines that travel to this area also offer excursions to this serene area that also may include lunch at the Phang Nga Bay Resort.

     8) “From Russia With Love” showed the underground Basilica Cistern and alluringIstanbul, there are many areas here where a concierge may be able to design a privateIstanbul“James Bond” tour such as a trip to a museum or the Grand Bazaar. Do you remember the motorcycle chase scene atop the Grand Bazaar in “Skyfall”?

    9)  How about scuba diving like James Bond, Sean Connery frequented several sites nearNassau,Bahamas. Certified divers may want to visit the “Tears of Allah” wreck featured in “Never say Never Again”.

    11) “You Only Live Twice” showcases a secret rocket base, upon the Ring of Fire volcanoes…how about visiting “Shinmoedake “ nearKyushu,Japan?

    12)  James Bond often found himself in the most dramatic casinos in the world. TryAtlantisParadiseIsland, you can stay here at the resort or take an excursion here from a cruise line.   InMonaco, the Casino de Monte Carlo was the star in “Never Say Never Again” AND “Goldeneye”.  Try an excursion from one of the cruise lines ports; Nice/Villefranche for the Best of Monaco.
